Volunteering at Woodstock is rewarding and fun. It sends the message to your student that you are interested and committed to their education. Volunteering benefits not only the school, but enriches your relationships with a vibrant community of parents and kids.
We are always open to your enthusiasm, creativity and ideas! All Woodstock events and committees were invented by and for our parents and community! If you want to do something new, let us know!
For more information on volunteering or something new you would like to do, email our president and we will connect you to the right people!
Background checks are required for all classroom volunteers, and are good for three years. If you need to submit or renew your PPS background check, you can do so here.
Keep informed by signing up for the Woodstock PTA newsletter (sent via email). Add yourself to our mailing list here.

Woodstock is in need of some parent volunteers to help monitor the playground at recess. With so many students and limited staff, one or two extra adults on the playground each day can make a big difference in safety for all of our children. Can you commit to one day per week for 50 minutes? Volunteers will be asked to watch the playground area from 11:00 to 11:50 and help facilitate kids going in to the cafeteria for lunch.
No need to sign-up or commit to a certain day. Just check in at the office and let them know you are there to help with recess (make sure your background check is up-to-date).
Have an hour to spare after drop-off? Our school cafeteria needs your assistance with prepping fresh fruits and vegetables. Volunteers can help any day, Monday– Friday, for about an hour after drop-off (8:30am-9:30am). Many parents have dedicated one hour a week to work in the kitchen in the past- it’s a great way to get involved and help our great school! Email our volunteer coordinator
Childcare for PTA Meetings:
Behind every successful PTA meeting are two people who supervise our kids! The importance of this role cannot be emphasized enough. Beyond our gratefulness, each volunteer will also be rewarded with a $20 gift card from our scrip offerings and the proceeds from our suggested donation jar. Email our volunteer coordinator
